Teacher’s Day was celebrated on 5th September .
“The transformation of education begins with teachers”
Teacher’s day was celebrated with pomp and grandeur. 13 girls and 2 boys enacted the role of teacher, the best teacher award candidate was selected among them . The guests and the teachers were welcomed with flowers and gifts. The students performed various cultural activities.98 students attended the programme.
Finally the programme ended by distributing refreshments and snacks.

It was a birthday celebration, a subtle event without cake cutting by distributing gifts and chocolate to under privileged make them feel special and part of the society. Vihan wished to celebrate his birthday with LES students with reference of Jinu Joseph a football coach at Loyola ground. Handmade birthday cards and flowers were given to him and the birthday song was sung by a choir of singer. He distributed stationery kit and diary milk chocolate to all 120 students presented on that day.
Diya Decoration
Diyas /mud lamps of different shapes were decorated with unique creative ideas using various materials like, metallic paints, decorative bindis, kundan work , stones, glitter powder, mirror work , etc by the students. The enthusiasm of the students created an atmosphere of cheer and festivity. All the students, participated with full passion and zeal. The decorative diyas were displayed in the class.
Empower yourself for Self Defence
A self-defence programme aimed at creating awareness among girls students about self defence techniques. It was organised on 29, September by Hayadi Bhatt, a karate coach at the Hridaya Academy was warmly welcomed by the principal of LES Sonu ma'am and the vice-principal Varsha ma’am.
He demonstrated several karate and Marshall Arts Techniques as a part of self defence to the students of grade 4th to 10th. All the students attended the programme with great enthusiasm.
The main objective of the defence training programme is to decrease dropout rates and make girls more confident by empowering them to defend themselves in times of danger.
